The process

From your mother plant to your hands.

Eight stages, each one critical. We keep you informed throughout and give you a realistic timeline before we start.

01

Consult

We discuss your mother plant, species, objectives and the volumes you need. We give you a realistic protocol assessment up front.

02

Mother plant selection

We identify the healthiest, most representative material from your stock. Explant quality at this stage determines everything downstream.

03

Surface sterilisation

Explants are cleaned under sterile conditions to eliminate surface contaminants before being introduced to culture medium.

04

Establishment

The explant is placed on a sterile nutrient medium. This is the most critical and variable stage — we monitor closely.

05

Multiplication

Once established, shoot cultures are subcultured repeatedly to build numbers. Each cycle multiplies stock.

06

Rooting

Shoots are transferred to a rooting medium to develop a root system, preparing them for life outside the sterile environment.

07

Acclimatisation

Rooted plantlets are gradually moved from sterile lab conditions into ambient humidity and light — a critical step to prevent losses.

08

Hand-over

You receive healthy, uniform young plants with verified provenance, ready to grow on in your system.

Timelines vary by species and volume. We provide a realistic estimate at the consultation stage — we do not overpromise.

What you get

At hand-over, every plant is:

  • Genetically identical to the mother plant
  • Free of systemic viruses, bacteria and pests
  • Rooted and acclimatised to ambient conditions
  • Traceable back to your original mother stock
  • Uniform in size, growth stage and health
